The Durango Bluegrass Train brings the same beloved onboard format to a new genre, filling every vintage coach with live bluegrass, Americana, and roots music as the San Juan Mountains roll by. Meanwhile, the Great Smoky Mountains Music Train takes the concept east, pairing live performances with the stunning scenery of the Nantahala River and Fontana Lake. Same spirit, new sounds, and unforgettable journeys—now rolling in more places than ever.

All aboard! The Durango Bluegrass Train takes the rails in 2026 for a moving musical journey. Join us for an exciting adventure aboard the historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad’s steam-powered train through the spectacular and breathtaking canyons of the San Juan National Forest. The Bluegrass Train features six live bluegrass performances inside the train coaches with a festive musical environment. Each artist performs in their own vintage coach, while passengers are free to dance their way from coach to coach. Four coaches have seats while two are open with no seats for dancing. Enjoy an evening on the rails with some of Colorado's best craft beer and wine along with spectacular scenery.
